Don't let these ombre nails fool you. They're like chameleon's and change colors throughout the day! Keep reading if you're curious to know more and want to see them in action!
Allow me to show off my fresh claws by Tracy of Professionail in Sunridge Mall. I love her work and her company, so I have been going to her for years! Tracy is the sweetest and most hard working woman you will ever meet. If anyone is looking for a new nail tech in Calgary I highly recommend her!
I seem to always have makeup or modelling gigs throughout the year, so I tend the gravitate towards very neutral nail colors. I normally pick out soft solid colors that will go with any outfit. You know, the basic colors like nude, pink, or champagne ect. During my last visit to the salon I had a couple of weeks to myself with nothing ahead on my schedule (or so I thought at the time). Tracy recommended that I step out of my element and try something new! She convinced me to give mood nails a try, and I have to say they're pretty dope! Sticking somewhat to my roots I went with the nude and red polish, but they have a wide variety of different colors that you can choose from.
My nails typically range from shades of nude to red throughout the day (nude when it is hot and red when it is cold). They are ombré in the photo above because the tips are cooler than my nail beds, but this merely is a transition stage that I captured for pretty photo purposes. Other than when I am holding a cold beverage, or something that will directly affect the temperature in my hands they tend to stay one solid color. Given that it is summer right now they are nude most of the day, and they only turn red if I am out and about during the evenings like I was for the Grey Goose Sunset Soiree event! This works out perfectly in my eyes as with clothing, makeup, or anything else in fashion it is well known that you should always start with light tones during the day and intensify them as the night goes on to transition into an evening look.
I have attached a short clip of my nails under water to amplify the speed of them changing for anyone who is interested in watching. I'm not going to lie I put them to the test running them under water and finding other ways to warm and cool them the first day. I was such a child and found it so entertaining! I hope you do to. Enjoy!
